Beyond Ghibli: Why ChatGPT-4o Is a Playground for Creators
I’ve been doing my best to stay in rhythm with where future tech is headed—and this past week has been a trip. While juggling some exciting client design work (more on that soon), I also launched a new creative partnership here in NC and started designing art for my baby girl’s room. But somewhere between all of that, I made time to sit with the new ChatGPT-4o update. And trust me, it deserves more than just a casual scroll.
There’s been a strange fixation lately on the word “Ghibli,” almost like a litmus test for what people expect AI to be. But if you’re wired to think beyond the algorithm—shout out to the visionaries and builders—this new update is a full-on playground. Textures. Styles. Overlays. Cities. Nations. Dimensions. It’s deeper than prompts. To explore that, I used Mr. Rogers as an anchor point and asked ChatGPT-4o to imagine him across alternate realities. The results? Surreal, layered, and more expansive than expected. Scroll through the thread to see how deep the rabbit hole really goes.
… I know right?!
If this sparked something in you—imagination, nostalgia, or even curiosity about where all of this is going—follow me on Threads, X, and Instagram. I’m constantly exploring how to push the boundaries of future technology and co-create with AI in ways that challenge the norm, uplift culture, and spark new possibilities. This isn’t just about content—it’s about building worlds. Let’s keep expanding.
